Through work in Maricopa, Pima, Pinal, Yuma and Santa Cruz
counties, AZ represents the best
opportunities for WAAA partners to demonstrate strategic strength. WAAA’s greatest organizational capacity is in Maricopa
County, which includes Phoenix.
With voter registration potential at 166,634 and as a result of the upcoming 2010 census, AZ will likely gain legislative seats based largely on increases in the immigrant community.
As election season is just around the corner, the Arizona partners in
WAAA are making strong headway to gaining immigrant voters in 2008.
In order to make real and lasting changes for the 2008 elections, voter
registration within under represented communities is a must.
Voter Registration Goals of WAAA Partners:
ACORN: 27,000
D-USA: 11,493
MFVEF: 6,000
CCC: 1,500
NCLR: 1,500
Total: 47,493
WAAA is ready to take the
presidential race to all communities throughout Arizona who want their
vote counted in 2008!
