WAAA partners with ACORN, D-USA, CCC, NCLR, and NALEO to outreach to the historic immigrant populations in Florida.  Even though Florida has many impressive established immigrant communities, there is a strong drive to register eligible immigrants to vote in 2008. Voter Registration Goals of WAAA Partners: ACORN: 25,000 D-USA: 47,002 CCC: 3,420 NCLR: 2,000 Total: 77,242  

WAAA’s partners in Florida are ACORN, D-USA, CCC, NCLR and NALEO. Work focus is in the counties of Broward, Hillsborough, Lake, Miami Dade, Orange, Osceola,Palm Beach, Pinellas, Polk, Seminole, St. Lucie and Highland. Throughout focus areas, there is potential for 344,613 new registrants with the largest potential in Miami Dade and Broward Counties, both counties in south Florida with heavy immigrant populations.
