New York’s program lead by WAAA partners ACORN, Gamaliel, NAKASEC, NCLR and NYIC. NYIC has taken the lead among our partners in New York in WAAA’s civic participation programs. Efforts are focused on New York City and the counties of Albany, Nassau, Suffolk, Syracuse and Westchester. For the WAAA universe, NYC’s expansive immigrant population yields 200,000 potential voters with goals of 81,500 for our partner’s on the ground programs.
